WalkAbouts, formerly known as Bird's Eye View Walking Tours began
operation in 1995 and is the only tour operator allowed to give tours of the
Fairmont Empress. The company consists of 11 guides who can deliver tours in
English, French, German and Spanish. All of the guides have extensive
experience in guiding and their love of Victoria is evident. Excellent story
tellers, our guides receive accolades from guests all around the world.

Customized Tours
All of our tours can be totally customized to fit the needs, the interests and
the time frame for any group. We enjoy putting together special walking tours
for groups as we enjoy showing our beautiful city and heritage. Our mandate is
walking tours; however, several of the guides do"step-on" work and so that is
always a possibility if you are looking at bus tours. This price would be
negotiated depending on length of tour, but generally is approximately
$50.00/hour for the guide and then whatever amount the bus company charges for
the bus and driver.
