Antique Row stretches along several city blocks known as Fort Street right in the downtown core of Victoria. This street originally was the dirt track that enabled people from outside Victoria to bring vegetables and other goods towards Fort Victoria in the 1840's. Today, a dozen or more antique shops nestle among restaurants, clothing shops and other business ventures along this unique Victorian street.
This walking tour requires 2 1/2 - 3 hours, as the guests experience six to eight very different antique shops. Each owner is asked to spend a few minutes to highlight the shop’s history and their specialty items. Antique Row is quite a highlight for many of our visitors, especially if they enjoy collectibles, jewellry, china, glassware, silver, furniture and other antique items. While shopping time is limited, guests can ear mark those shops they would like to visit at a later time. If time permits, a stop for tea or coffee in one of the charming restaurants along the Row, is easily arranged.
This tour is by group bookings only and is $250/guide. A maximum group size is 22 guests. We can negotiate a group price for a customized tour and would be pleased to work with tour operators. If there are more than 22 people in the group, then we will arrange for another tour guide.
